Premium Taiwanese Bamboo Shoots Seasoned with Soy Sauce, Sugar, and Sesame Oil
Only the tender core portions of bamboo shoots grown in the high-altitude “Shinzan” region of Taiwan (above 400 meters) are carefully selected for this product. These bamboo shoots are known for their soft texture and pleasant bite, thanks to the limited exposure to sunlight in the mountainous terrain.
At Momoya, we discard the tougher segments near the nodes and use only the most delicate parts. These are then fermented with lactic acid, aged, and sun-dried to concentrate their natural umami.
Seasoned with a savory blend of soy sauce, sugar, and aromatic sesame oil in our signature Momoya style, these bamboo shoots are not only perfect as a ramen topping, but also pair wonderfully with rice or as a flavorful side dish with drinks.
